These are generally ‘pie and pea supper nights’ where most clubs charge £10 a ticket……………It’s entirely upto you!
There are endless names to choose from,be it a local hero or sports journalist, both are equally amusing and interesting whilst fully appreciated by those present.NEWCASTLE UNITED/SUNDERLAND or MIXED NIGHTS WITH EX STARS FROM EITHER………OR SIMPLY A NAME FROM ANOTHER CLUB IN ENGLAND WHO YOU FANCY!!!
Through their respective careers they have a bank of anecdotes and funny stories,as well as opinions on the current campaign,or seasons gone by!
A typical talk in night would run as follows although the format can change to suit,
1945-2000 Introductions of the guests and acknowledgements.
2000-2100 First half,I interview my fellow guests ensuring the audience hear their tales and experiences whilst touching on topical issues whatever they may be.
2100-2130 Pie and pea supper served,ideal time for one on one photographs and autographs, meet your hero(es) face to face, fundraising game of heads n tails. My special quiz time which is always a laugh and good money raiser!
2130-2230 Second half, Live question are invited from the floor which always guarantees passion and laughter with ‘off the cuff’ banter! BEWARE I act as a chairman and take no prisoners with my mickey taking!! From local idiots to the panel no one can hide and we all have fun!!.......I HOPE!!
2230-2300 Fundraising auction and raffle drawn,quiz results and other closing gambits……………………making sure everyone is happy at the end is like winning the cup for me and I always leave a venue buzzing.
“WHAT DOES A TALK-IN COST?”
Depending on the personalities you choose or desire there is an easy tried and tested formulae to keep you right for peace of mind! Once you select your preferred line up I’ll tell you how many tickets you need to sell in order to cover the expenses.
For example if the minimum is 40 tickets then any revenue from tickets 41 upwards goes straight into your funds,along with raffle, quiz, heads n tails, auction etc.
You may prefer to put a line up together to suit your budget or simply select your personalities regardless! Either way it’s still a simpe process!
“IT WORKS ALL OVER THE REGION,IT’S BOMBPROOF!”
SPORTING DINNERS…………….
These are generally bigger affairs where a meal is served to guests,be it 50 or 1000+, casual dress or black tie,they are the same in theory.
During the night you will have dinner,listen to guest speakers,comedians and play fundraising games such as raffles,auctions or heads n tails to raise money for your funds.
“HOW DO I FIX THINGS UP AS WELL AS HOST THE FUNCTION?”
A- Some clubs give me a budget in mind to put a line up together.
B- Some clubs give me a list of speakers,comedians etc they have in mind and I calculate the expenses by contacting them direct!.I simply ring them or send a text-They all know me and love working along side me as they know I run the game professionally and look after everything,whilst making sure it’s fun.
C- Some clubs ask me to design a line up to suit their budget,guests and/or general theme.
D- A club or indeed an organisation asks me to simply arrange for a personality to attend their engagement,for example a presentation night or other function on the same basis as above without paying silly booking fees etc.
IN A NUTSHELL NO ONE CAN COMPETE WITH MY SERVICE,I ARRANGE THE LINE UP,I HOST THE NIGHT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM,I SET UP MEMORABILIA DIRECT FROM THE PERSONALITIES,NO MIDDLEMEN,NO OVERHEADS,NO THIRD PARTIES INVOLVED,THINK OF THE MONEY SAVED BY ONE PERSON DOING THE LOT-AND I LOVE IT LIKE THAT!!!!
